Charity Spotlight: because I said I would.

This month we would like to feature the amazing, local non-profit, because I said I would. Because I said I would. “is a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept”.

Founded by Alex Sheen after delivering a eulogy at his father’s funeral, an “average” man who always kept his promises and was true to his word, Alex began this social movement by offering to send 10 promise cards to anyone, anywhere in the world.

Since that day, because I said I would. has

  • Distributed over 10.3 million Promise Cards
  • Delivered Promise Cards in 153 countries
  • Spoke to 389,246 individuals in Speaking Engagements
  • Accumulated over 175,000 total social media followers

By covering all their overhead costs with their Founder’s speaking engagement fees, because I said I would. is able to put 100% of their donations towards their charitable programs, such as Charter Education in Schools, High School Chapters, Awareness Campaigns, Promise Cards, and other Charitable Projects.

With volunteers being such a crucially important part of because I said I would., there are many ways for people who are looking to help to get involved with this organization. From volunteering at events and headquarters, to applying to start your own chapter, to monetary donations, if you would like to help, there is an option for you.
